Connect the DC voltmeter to VCO (TP1). Adjust L702 for 4.5 V ± 0.1 V reading on the DC voltmeter.

Check if the DC voltage on all channels is kept within 2.1V to 4.6V at TP1.

L9 and L12

Connect the AF oscillator to pin 3 and pin 4 of the microphone jack (J401) and the SSVM to TP4. Adjust coils for maximum reading on the SSVM.

No modulation

Connect the RF power meter to the antenna jack (J501). Adjust L9 for 4.0 W reading on the RF power meter.

Repeat above adjustments until no further change can be noted.

VR4

Connect the modulation meter across the dummy load and attenuator to antenna jack (J501). Adjust VR4 for 95% modulation.

No modulation

VR3

Adjust VR3 until fifth digit of LED lights on.
