Receiver ALIGNMENT PROCEDURE

Alignment Locations

Test Equipment Required
DC Power Supply: 13.8V 2A
Standard Signal Generator: S.S.G.
(27 MHz band, 1 kHz, 30% AM modulation, output impedance 50-ohm)
AC voltmeter
Dummy load (8-ohm, 5W Resistive)

Connect the S.S.G. (27.175 MHz) to the antenna jack (J501) and the AC voltmeter across the dummy load (8-ohm) to the external speaker jack (J1). Adjust coils (L1~ L5) for maximum reading on the AC voltmeter.

VR2

Set the output level of S.S.G.to 1000uV. Adjust VR2 for 2V AF output.

Same as step 1

VR1

Set the output level of S.S.G. to 50uV, no modulation. Adjust VR1 until "9" (fourth digit of LED) lights on.
