Frequency Conversion Instructions:

STEP 1

1.
 Check out the radio for proper operation before starting.
2.
 Remove Power from the radio
3.
 Remove the top and bottom cover.
4.

Perform one of the two versions.
Version 1
Some radios have a solder bridge between Pin 16 of IC7 to a trace going to Pin 11 of IC 5.
Remove solder bridge.
Version 2
Others have four 100 Ohm 1/8W resistors from Pin 15 of IC7 to Pins 2, 4, 6, and 15.
Remove the resistors.
5.
 This jumper fits on two of the three pins that are in a row.
Move the jumper so it sits on the left and center pins (1 and 2) instead of the right and center pins (2 and 3).
6.
 Apply Power and check out the radio for proper operation and do or check alignment if necessary.
7.
 Replace covers.
