DX2547 Tech Updates

Tech update #1 for DX2547 with s/n before T1T01601

Symptom: Noise Blanker and Automatic Noise Limiter do not seem to be working correctly.

Cure: Locate connector J6 on the main PCB. Unsolder all three pins, reverse the connector 180 degrees and resolder.

Tech Update #2 for DX2547 with s/n before T1T01601

Symptom: The AM receive audio sounds muffled or bassy.

Cure: Cut jumper JP502 on the small circuit board located just behind the volume control.

Tech Update #3 for DX2547 with s/n before T1T01601

Symptom: Some voltage is present on the chassis of the radio.

Cure: Remove the regulator transistor from the heatsink on the back of the radio and check that the white mounting screw insulators are positioned on the heatsink correctly. These white round insulators should be mounted on the black heat sink material and not on the voltage regulator pcb so that the mounting screws do not short the transistor case onto the heatsink.
