Frequency Generation

Frequency Mod

1. Remove the cover from the unit and locate the traces of the D861 chip.

2. Uing an X-ACTO knibe cut around the pin shown and solder a 4700ohm resistor across the cut trace.

3. Dill a 1/4" hole in the outside cabinet and mount a DPDT center off switch.

4. Solder a piece of 4 wire ribbon cable or hookup wire to each pin shown in Figure A and B.

5. The unit will now opetate above and below the normal 40 channels using the switch in the up and down position.

*NOTE: A slight adjustment of the VCO transformer may be necessary for complete frequency range.
